Fuerteventura is one of the mandatory destinations in the Canary Islands archipelago. It is one of those places that can easily be considered a true paradise. 150 kilometers of beach make the island a dream destination, but there is much more to do in Fuerteventura. We tell you.
Fuerteventura offers many plans to enjoy the island. It is true that just by breathing its charm and taking advantage of the weather to go to the beach we will fall in love with it. However, to get the most out of the experience, you have to get to know the island from different points of view.
1.Whale Watching
I assure you that seeing wild dolphins and whales in freedom is one of the best experiences you can have during your trip to the Canary Islands. You can do it in different ways; with snorkeling, on an observation tour and by boat with lunch and water activities. The vast majority of boats leave from Morro Jable, so from Apartamentos Fuerteventura Sol, we are just a step away! One of the most frequent questions is usually when to see whales in Fuerteventura. Just as on other islands cetaceans are usually seen at any time of the year, especially dolphins, in the case of Fuerteventura the best months are the summer months. During these months, especially in June, the chances of seeing dolphins and whales in Fuerteventura are much higher compared to other times of the year.
2. Water activities
This way, we can practice snorkeling or diving. But the winds that reach the island make it perfect for surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing. In fact, it is one of the favorite places for those who love these ports.
3. Organized excursions
There is a lot to see in Fuerteventura, and the excursions you can take are very original and varied. You will always find your ideal excursion for this trip.
You can tour the island on wheels. In fact, one of the great tourist attractions is to see the island in a buggy, quad or even in a Jeep. From visiting the dunes of Corralejo to visiting the volcanic landscapes of the interior, the possibilities are many, and you will all love them. An experience, without a doubt, unforgettable. Another highly requested excursion is to go by ferry or boat to the island of Lobos.
It is a small piece of practically virgin land. It has a spectacular seabed and beautiful coves and beaches, perfect to give you a good dip. And one more possibility.
4. Acua Water Park
Acua Water Park is a fantastic water park located in Corralejo, in the north of Fuerteventura. The best water park on the island, with around 25,000 m² of surface area and fun, modern facilities. Acua Water Park guarantees a great day to whoever visits it, regardless of age.
5. Swim with sea lions
In this activity you will have a very close interaction with sea lions and seals that live in the sea. It is also a very didactic activity because you will learn the differences between these two types of mammals, their diet and the exercises they do daily. In addition, you will discover the small gestures that you can do in your day to day to keep the natural habitat of these animals safe.
6. Oasis Wild Life Fuerteventura
Close encounters, always with respect and admiration for all the animals that live here. They started as a small plant production center and camel farm, today they have become a large zoo and a rescue and recovery center for species where visitors can interact with them. Great job!
